While some of you might not be a fan of the rear, they really have grown on me over the years.
The wheels are also to my liking; however, the plastic red brake covers just look garish.
I’ve heard that a major issue with these is the valve guides wearing because BMW recommended an obtusely long oil change interval, which I have not adhered to in mine. Would like to take this home, but sadly I don’t really have a place for three cars.

That’s about the only price I’d pay for one! Former coworker had one and it never grew on me. Odd proportions and the back end is really something...

That’s fair the styling was pretty polarizing, but with how over-styled everything is now, these look pretty restrained.

the rear 3/4 view is awful, the car looks great from every other angle though. Have looked hard at these several times.
However - that 45 motor is a huge piece of shit if I remember right, and I say that as someone who owned it’s successor, the 50 (and spent probably 10k chasing oil leaks)

I wonder if it was the really long oil change intervals, but I’m not sure. I avoided these when I was shopping because of the fuel economy.

That’s also fair - they do look restrained. I was always sort of taken aback by how big the 645 looks. The hood seems high, the rear end is very large looking, the roundy nose makes it look very big. The interior was a nice place to be. He also drove a M540 (I have no idea if that’s how that’s supposed to be written) which had about 180k on the clock and was beat to shit. That was a cool car though.

I like the red leather and clutch pedal , but not a fan of the E63.
As much as I like BMW, there are certain BMW engines that I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole. This is one of them.

This may be a hot take, but I think these have aged well. Not that they were particularly pretty to start, but their design looks newer than it is. Also, those red seats give me life. Looks like a cigar lounge in there.

N62 right? Yeah the valve guide go out all the time. And are a bitch to replace. If you have the right tools you can do them in the car.
Watch on start up for smoke or give it a hard blip.

The e60 5 50is have the same motor and great looking in m-sport. Just don't touch the f10 n63. Junk

I had a neighbor who had a 545i, it was very well cared for. Only issue with it was the SMG, that needed major work at 100k. It was replaced for that reason.
